Kingdom Hearts Gameplay – The “Greatest Hits”
Kingdom Hearts is a 2002 action role-playing video game for the PlayStation 2 video game console, published by Square. 1st It’s the first game in the Kingdom Hearts series, and it’s the product of a partnership between Square and Disney. Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, an enhanced re-release of the game with new and additional material, was released exclusively in Japan in December 2002. The game’s Final Mix version was later remastered in high definition and made available worldwide as part of the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix series for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. In addition to original characters and environments developed for the game, it incorporates characters and settings from Disney animated films with those from Square’s Final Fantasy series.
It follows the adventures of Sora, a joyful adolescent who battles alongside Donald Duck, Goofy, and other Disney characters against the forces of darkness. The game was a departure from Square’s usual role-playing games, as it had a significant action and hack-and-slash component. Yoko Shimomura arranged the soundtrack. Many of the Disney characters’ official voice actors appear in Kingdom Hearts III, which has an all-star voice cast. Tetsuya Nomura, a longtime Square character designer, was making his directorial debut.
Kingdom Hearts was lauded for its unique blend of action and role-playing, its surprisingly harmonious fusion of Square and Disney elements, and Shimomura’s music, which received critical and commercial acclaim.
