How 3D Printing Is Revolutionising Dentistry!
The idea of 3D printing is sweeping the world, and it’s easy to see why. Although 3D printing is still a new technology, it has the potential to revolutionise traditional dentistry laboratories if it continues to develop at its present rate. For many years, dentists depended on labs to fabricate crowns, bridges, and other dental implants for their patients. This produces a 3D picture of the gums and teeth, which is then saved as a digital file on the computer. Dental computer-aided design software allows the dentists to digitally design the dental implants and print the completed result using a 3D printer. In fact, it is possible to 3D print all types of dental implants using the same procedure described above. And not only implants but it is also possible to 3D print various drilling guides and surgical equipment that are required to carry on dental treatments.
