The World Is Witnessing A Space Race Again!

FeaturedVid Jul 26

There is a space race going on at the present time. The race to reach the space first and to take the tourists to space as well. The people involved in the race are some of the wealthiest people on earth. They are Richard Branson, the founder of the Virgin group, and Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon group.

In their attempt to win the space race they have given birth to big space organizations. Richard Branson owns the company called Virgin Galactic which is an American spaceflight company that aims to provide tourism services to space. On the other hand, Jeff Bezos owns the company named Blue Origins which is an American privately-funded aerospace manufacturer and aims to sub-orbital spaceflight services. Richard Branson managed to take the flight earlier than Bezos on July 16, 2021, aboard a Virgin Galactic spacecraft which was followed by Jeff Bezos’s rocket trip on July 20, 2021.

It took several years for both of them to fulfill their dream of traveling into space. Blue Origin was established in 2000, which was followed by Virgin Galactic being established in 2004. The critics however are not really happy with these developments and point out these billionaires might have spent their time and money on more worthwhile earthly endeavors (and paying more tax).

However, there is an even more ambitious billionaire involved in the space race. Elon Musk’s Space Exploration Technologies Corp. sent a Tesla Roadster into space atop a Falcon rocket in 2018 with a Starman dummy in the driver’s seat. Musk’s next goal is to take people to Mars. Branson and Bezos will have to up their game if they want to compete with Musk.
